Taking a Break

"Aspens at Sundown (Commission)"
Oil on Panel
20x16"
2010

Sorry for the long absence, but I've been having to neglect the blog in favor of getting some actual painting done! In the interest of getting work done for galleries and shows, I think it's probably going to be a few months before I can think about blogging again. In the meantime, you can follow me on Facebook and Twitter, and check my website for new work.

I get a lot of emails from people who read my blog and are encouraged by the fact that I'm juggling being a mom and a painter, and I want to thank all of you so much for that. It's rough, but possible to do both, and having this blog has been a nice way to keep in touch with others who are in the same position. Keep in touch!

Oh yes, that light is wonderful! Kudos on juggling mom and artist. Just being a new mom is exhausting but well worth it.

hey Stacey i have been looking through your painting and i have to say that they are quite remarkable... only one problem you are posting contents about you painting and you are doing it for free!! why not get paid for talking about your paintings??? i love blogging about music and movies , well just about anything, but i am recieving a check in the mail monthly it may not be alot because the most have earn is a little over $100, if you would like to learn to make some money from blogging about your painting then you could follow my blog at http://jamactions.blogspot.com/2010/05/learn-how-to-make-money-on-your-blog.html
any questions you have about making money from what you doing now will be answer or you can just email me and andre-clarky@hotmail.com... again nice paintings keep up the good work... it has not gone unnoticed.

I love the touches of warm light on the cool snow in this, it's just beautiful. I hope you're having a productive break and I look forward to seeing more from you when you resurface. Well done for by a mum AND painter, I'm getting married next year and hopefully when my fiancee and I have children I'll be able to juggle things as well as you. It's inspiring :)
